not "a murder of T. rex"
For the collective noun do we want one that applies to members of
every species within the genus, or only to a particular species? To
T. rex only or to all tyrannosaurs?
I like Dr. Holtz's proposal of "a dynasty of T. rex."
The species name "rex" (king) suits the modern meaning of
dynasty ("a succession of rulers of the same line of descent"),
but it would work at the genus level too, since the original
meaning of "dynasteia" was "power" or "lordship"
Another possibility would be "a tyranny of tyrannosaurs"
