eggs with thin shells
hello dinosaur ppl
in reference to phillip bigelow's point about shell thickness - "2 mm
thick shells on a 16' long egg is a bit thin" (or words to that effect)
- is it possible that the young dinosaur could gestate inside a shell
inside the mother's body - so the mother would lay the egg a short time
before the egg was due to hatch.
no nest would be needed to protect the egg - mother could lay a brood of
40-50 and protect them while they hatched - the shell, although thin,
would protect the foetus from damage incurred during mother's fights
while it was gestating in her body
apologies if this sounds like a silly question - i'm just an interested
layman who has more interest than knowledge :)
would someone please tell me what a troodon is ?
