Well, Alectrosaurus olseni IS the earliest known tyrannosaurid, but is
definately of Late Cretaceous age (maybe Coniacian, maybe Santonian, maybe
even Campanian).

I'm not sure of the stratigraphic relationships between the Iren Dabasu and
Gaugao Formations - interbasinal correlations of Asia is getting better,
but still has a long way to go.
