T. bataar egg clarification
As promised, this afternoon I spoke with the curator of the museum
concerning the discrepancies in the dating of the T. bataar eggs. He
tells me that the (lower?) Cretaceous date is based on pollen in the
matrix, but he would also like to remind us that "(lower?)" means there
is some uncertainty involved. Also, a paleontologist (sorry, but I
forgot to ask who) identified the embryonic remains in another pair of
eggs as "Tarbosaurus bataar." I suppose that it's possible that the eggs
identified by the paleontologist and the eggs in the museum are not from the
same horizon after all. I don't know what to make of that.
Finally, can someone send me the reference in which "Tarbosaurus"
is referred to "Tyrannosaurus"? They need a proper reference to change
the display in the museum.
