I wonder what the status of some of George Olshevsky's genera name 
creations are?

Here are some of the ones I have listed:

Becklespinax altispinax = Acrocanthosaurus altispinax Paul, 1988

Valdoraptor oweni = Megalosaurus oweni Lydekker, 1889

Ultrasauros macintoshi = Ultrasaurus macintoshi Jensen, 1985
     This one I have seen used many times so I assume it is official.

Are these still "proposed", "official", or "discarded".
Also, I know George Olshevsky is actively involved in the Japanese 
Dinosaur magazine and I see some of his work in the Dinosaur Society's 
publication "Dinosaur Report".  However, his newsletter "Archosaurian 
Articulations" is inactive...I would like to incourage those persons who 
are close to George to incourage him to return producing the newsletter 
again.  It was a fanastic publication and I miss it very much.
