On the skull of _Deinonychus_

To all:

Was I misinformed or something?  Someone has been telling me, quite bitterly,
that the skull of _Deinonychus_ was NOT long and gently upcurving, but
resembing that of _Allosaurus_.  

What does evidence suggest Deinonychus's skull was shaped like?  And why does
Ostrom still believe it resembled that of an allosaur?
