archeopteryx teeth
I seem to remember an interesting paper a few years back, written by
some embryologists who grafted mouse gum mesoderm under chicken
oral ectoderm and induced the formation of a hen's tooth from the avian
ectoderm. They went on to describe the morphology of the tooth, which
bore no resemblance to that of a mouse. Does anyone else remember
this paper? If so, how does the morphology of this induced tooth
compare to that of Archeopteryx or its relatives?
