DINOTOUR 1995
I have been asked to post preliminary information on DINOTOUR 1995,
a nine-day visit to museums, labs, quarries, and field sites in the state
of Texas.
DINOTOUR's fifth annual tour is planned for Friday April 21 through
Sunday April 30, 1995, starting in Lubbock and ending in Dallas.
Costs are about $1100 - $1300 ($US), depending on accommodation;
participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from
Lubbock and Dallas. Costs include transportation by motorcoach in
Texas, motels, guidebook, the "famous lunch bar," admissions, T-shirt,
and the expertise of Dr. Phil Currie, Head of Dinosaur Research at the
Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller, Alberta. On-site experts will
provide opportunities for behind the scenes visits and learning opportunities
not generally available to the public. Both Triassic and Cretaceous age
sites are included in the itinerary. As in previous years, this is an
educational
travel trip with lots of miles to cover, NOT a "dig experience."
DINOTOUR is a Calgary-based group that organizes educational trips
to sites of dinosaur interest. The volunteers who make up the DINOTOUR
organizing committee have arranged trips annually since 1991, each one
with Phil Currie as the on-board scientific leader. Participants have
come from Canada, the USA and England, and many have returned each
year to learn more and to renew friendships.

please include your surface mailing address.
My connection to DINOTOUR is as an organizing committee member
and as a tour participant.
