AMNH's Oviraptor egg on display...

Some news from home on the Mongolia finds--

> The egg is on display in the Theodore Roosevelt Rotunda. That's the main CPW
> entrance. The one with the Barosaurus.
>
> The "Oviraptorid" dinosaur egg is about 3 1/2" and it took over 400 hours of
> prep time to remove it from the surrounding sandstone.
> It's in a case with a skull of a juvenile dromaeosur that was found in the
> same nest. This may have been a meal for the parent or it may have been
> feeding on the contentents of the nest when it died.
>
> Also in the display case is a 1923 "Protoceratops" egg from Andrews
> expedition and an adult "oviraptorid" dinosaur skull from the 1993
> expedition.
>
> There's also a video with Novacek, dean of science at the AMNH, and Norell
> (the
> finder)
>
> It looks like a permanent (at least until the opening of the new hall in May)
> exhibit.

On another note, I may have missed this while I was off-line, but has anyone
posted reviews of Psihoyos' _Hunting Dinosaurs_ or Wallace's _The AMNH's
Book of Dinosaurs and Other Ancient Creatures_ yet? I'd appreciate hearing
opinions...

Thanks!
