Ah, but were they? Neat article in the September 1994 Journal of Paleontology
by Hilde Schwartz and Dave Gillette on the Coelophysis burial. They suggest
drought was the cause of death, and that streams may have transported the
carcasses not long after. A common occurrence in the fossil record.
