Bonnie, I was happy to see your comments on the recent Dino DNA debacle. It
seems everyone is so quick to jump to the Jurassic Park-like conclusion that
any fossilized soft materials must mean dna!
Kids at my museum are sure that a cloned tyrannosaurus rex is on the way. And
I've tried to explain that the bones aren't even verified as dinosaurian. It
could be a deinosuchus or something! Maybe an unknown reptile. At least it
got the kids excited.
