Scavenging

About htis discussion ot the T-Rex being an escavenger I can't see how the
T-Rex could digest a 1000-pound piece of meat (without chewing) in less
that 48 hours (assuming that the meat rotted at the same rate than now,
back then).  So, If the T-Rex did not eat rotten meat he certainly
diggested it.  Once an animla has the physiological capacity to diggest and
stand rotten meat in the stomach it might not be very difficult to go a
head and eat a free meal that he happend to find.
