About MARY ANNING - through the Australian Bibliographic Network i 
discovered the existence of two fictionalized accounts of Mary Anning's 
life (1799-1847). There's THE DRAGON IN THE CLIFF : A NOVEL BASED ON THE 
LIFE OF MARY ANNING by Sheila Cole (N.Y. : Lothrop, Lee & Shepard, 1991), 
and the other is DRAGON IN THE ROCKS : A STORY BASED ON THE CHILDHOOD OF 
EARLY PALEONTOLOGIST MARY ANNING by Marie Day (Toronto : Greey de Pencier 
Books, 1992). Both are assigned this subject heading: 
"Anning, Mary, 1799-1847 -- Juvenile fiction"
so i assume they're aimed at school-age children.

Aren't you glad to have a pedantic librarian on the Dinosaur List?
