[dinosaur] Shape and size of tyrannosaurid eggs
Good day!
I would like to ask, if it can be inferred somehow, what the actual shape of tyrannosaurid egg was? Was it more like elongate eggs of oviraptorosaurs, oval like those of sauropods or perhaps something in between? Also, how big (long) were probably the eggs of Tyrannosaurus rex itself? I recall that the newly hatched T. rex individual is believed to be something like 0.8 to 1.0 meters long, which would mean an egg up to 50 cm long? Did anyone already published some fact-based thoughts on this? Thank you in advance! Tom
