Plans underway to build a new museum to house growing dinosaur finds at the Sauriermuseum Frick in Switzerland. Most of the fossils are of Plateosaurus unearthed in a local clay pit that may contain remains hundreds of animals. In 40 years, more than 100 individuals have been found, including a dozen complete skeletons. Recent discoveries include a yet to be described theropod and a "giant" Plateosaurus specimen. I won't provide links or names, but fossils of an Allosaurus and of a Camptosaurus that were put up for auction by a Paris art dealership last week failed to sell at the asking prices. The Society of Vertebrate Paleontology sent the company a letter objecting to the sale and asking that it be halted.Â
