A recent paper by Otero et al. in Cretaceous Research (http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/ ) features an image in the "Graphical Abstract" that is taken from online art by artist Asher Elbein. This event is discussed in this blog: https://chasmosaurs.S0195667116303123 blogspot.com/2016/12/the-case- of-stolen-tylosaurus.html One thing that discussions about this topic in various online fora has brought up is that many researchers are unfamiliar with the rules governing online material, and in particular the specifics of Creative Commons. (Note, however: the image in question in this particular case was not under Creative Commons.)Hopefully the following information will be useful in informing the community at large about the nature of Creative Commons material online:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7j7ZSEt-ME0 --Thomas R.
