RE: any trace of proto-feathers in any Dilophosaurus remains?

Like the VAST majority of dinosaurs, this one was not found in the kind of
sediment that is likely to preserve feather impressions (or skin impressions,
for that matter).

The supposed "feather traces" found on resting marks of possible
dilophosaur-grade Early Jurassic theropods are almost certain deformation of
the algal film on the sediment, and nothing to do with the organism. This isn't
evidence for or against feathered Dilophosaurus: it is simply independent of
it. There are "feathered" beetle trackways on the same surface.
