RE: An Immodest Proposal for using paleoart to help suppress fossil poaching
That's a conglomeration of fabulous ideas Greg. Very well thought out.
So .. I'm going to throw my 2 cents into what you just alluded to. It
has to do with Palaeo-Art.
One way to make Palaeo Art very personal .. one of a kind .. that only
the owner could purchase .. would be to offer a real incentive by [I know
how this is going to sound .. bare with me] .. setting up a contract with
a collector in which the Palaeo-Artist would offer to include the owner in
the actual painting .. sword/ rifle in hand over the carcass of the animal
of choice ..
or ..
his/her family member(s) including a family pet(s) walking through a dino
nursery or whatever ..
.. and above all .. offer this as a "birthday" present/ Xmas present for
someone spscial.
The point to be made is that Palaeo-Art could become quite personal .. quite
a collectors item .. being 1-of-a-kind.
Maybe that was 3 cents.
