Yep, that's because Säve-Söderbergh happened not to believe in amniote monophyly in 1934 when he coined that name for the clade for everything more closely related to the amniotes than to the lissamphibians. (The paper is pretty impressive -- he stopped just short of giving the name a phylogenetic definition.)
I actually plan to publish on this unfortunate little fact of history one day.
