David (Peters), I think one problem you will face with your hypothesis
that pterosaurs are lizards is that there are very large data matrices
on archosaurs (Brusatte et al. 2008, Science) and squamates (Conrad,
2008), and you will have to merge them in order to test your
hypothesis in our days (perhaps some 15 years ago your hypothesis
would be easier to support with less work)... Including also
characters related to the interrelationships of other archosauromorphs
and lepidosauromorphs which are not archosaurs and squamates, of
course. Those which propose new phylogenetic hypotheses have to take
the bother to do all this work not to be dismissed.
