I see "phylogenetic tree" as more of an abstract term, defined along
the lines of, "A directed, acyclic graph [in the mathematical sense of
'graph'] where the vertices model taxa (or organisms) and the arcs
model descent." A cladogram is an illustration of a phylogenetic tree.
