Re: Vertebrate Palaeontology Conference in Australia
Rescued from truncation:
======================
Hi all,
This is my first post to the list, so I hope it works. I've been reading
along for some time now and posts from the DML are definitely a highlight of
my inbox.
I'm helping to organise a conference in 2011 for CAVEPS (Conference on
Australasian Vertebrate Evolution Palaeontology and Systematics), which some
of you may be interested in. The focus is quite broad - morphology,
phylogeny, taphonomy, taxonomy, palaeoecology and the
palaeoenvironment. Some of the most memorable past talks have covered
dinosaurs (and pleisosaurs), marine mammals, megafauna, marsupials
and ancient fish.
If you've never been to Australia or have only been to the East Coast, come
over and see us. We'll be in Perth, Western Australia, and the conference
will be held during our autumn (fall) which means you'll miss the worst of
our summer. More details can be found at
http://wa-oigc.curtin.edu.au/conference.cfm.
I hope to meet some of you there,
