True, but Anchiornis certainly wasn't brachiating through the forest.  :-)

I really am trying hard to picture a lifestyle for these guys other than
feeding on the ground and roosting in trees, like a wild turkey.

Right now I'm looking at the color life restoration (gorgeous!) and the
way those hind wing feathers are extended (according to the
illustration). What's the latest thinking on the position of the legs
during flight in dinobirds?
