Re: storing a food source



True that flying birds store fat. Now that I remind, I heard on
Discovery that small hummingbirds also travel through the Gulf of
Mexico losing half their weight... I suppose that things may be
different for birds in migration, which spend most of their time
flying in the same direction, when a relatively heavy body may help
inertial advance, and non-migrating birds, which land more, have to
start flying again, and turn more frequently... Truly do not know.
