Kangaroo has a gamey-taste very unlike chicken, and as you remarked is often
compared to
venison.

My cat eats a lot of 'roo meat (here in Australia it's mostly used as pet food,
which seems like a
waste of good low-fat meat to me). He loves it, but he doesn't think much of
chicken. Since there's
no more discerning food critic than a spoiled cat, I'd say that pretty much
proves their dissimilar
tastes.

It's often said that crocodile meat tastes like chicken - but that's mostly due
to the fact that farmed
crocs have a lot of chicken in their diet. Apparently crocs that eat mostly
fish have a slight fishy
taste to them.
