more Bald Eagle stuff

Just saw the son of neighbor outside passing by and he told me the
Wildlife-Park Service had built two artificial eagle nests on the far back side
of the lake (inaccessible to the public - posted) and had released two pairs of
eagles there. How they impress on them to 'stay' and not go flying off, I
don't know. Any bird-psychologists in the house? :-)

However, I don't know if they've bred yet or the chicks made it.

He did inform me that two weeks ago one of them died when it apparently was
swooping and got hit by an SUV on Salem Rd - adjacent to the woods around the
lake. I guess they supplement their aquatic diet with small terrestrial
animals much more than ospreys do?
