Re: Floating pterosaurs



It seems probable that pterosaurs would use a burst launch from the water rather than 'running' on it. The latter would presume avian style launch mechanics, which seem unlikely and ill-suited for pterosaurs.

Birds (avian-dinos?) have more flexible feet and
some seem to use them to 'run on the water' during
take-off ... looking at pictures of pterosaurs it
would seem that they wouldn't have had this advantage,
would they?
