SV: A biological basis for Bergmann's Rule?

I would be very careful about applying Bergmann's ruled to an isolated
island population. Large animals (which includes sheep-sized ones)
almost always get dwarfed on islands. This applies to both tropical,
temperate and arctic islands.
On the other hand small animals tend to grow larger on islands.
