And yes, 'Nesodon' is very much a misspelling and as such is not included in my 
list since they have no taxonomic significance, there are an infinite number of 
possibilities for them, and may muddy the waters badly, especially in this case 
where the genus *Nesodon* belongs to a toxodont. Now a certain predecessor list 
that came out in the early 90's did include misspellings and the Jensen and 
Ostrom paper is cited there.
