Seeley was the only one known to briefly suggest the possibility of the
Oolithes holotype as being pterosaurian. I think it was quickly figured out
that the specimen more likely consisted of turtle (IIRC) eggs and by the time
Oolithes was named any suggestions that it was anything else were well
discarded.
