If you didn't already, read the story... it's an impressively clear and
detailed piece of writing compared to most of what passes for science
journalism. Doesn't make the museum director (Lohse) look good though.
Everyone else is apparently full of goodwill, while he's portrayed as the
sole villain: not evil, just pusillanimous. It seems to have become
practically impossible for museum directors anywhere to come out looking
good, their main role seems to be as scapegoats to take blame as the whole
sector is squeezed.
