Peter Schouten is hardly a "newcomer" to paleoart. While primarily a 
wildlife artist his paleoart for books, exhibitions and commissions 
goes back some 25 years. His first book was Prehistoric Animals of 
Australia (1983). Peter Trusler mentioned on this list before, is 
another notable Australian artist who does a lot of paleo work:
