For fans of Zallinger's Peabody mural, an update that I'm sure will generate
some discussion:
http://www.yalealumnimagazine.com/issues/2008_05/dinos.html
-------------
It's all much more saturated...
Sorry to say: the update is a neat idea, or something, but the style of the
Triceratops in particular reminds me of some of the worst illustrations from
the old Dinosaurs! magazine, in the UK.
"The Yale Alumni Magazine commissioned dinosaur artist Alan Male to update a
section of the mural -- from about the time depicted in Jurassic Park..."
Er, late 20th century?
I like the way Tyrannosaur feathers are 'definite' while Deinonychus feathers
are only 'likely'. And did Stegosaurus have a shoulder spike? Last I heard it
was the only stegosaurian without, but I haven't kept right up to date.
