Re: Evidence for bat predation on birds



Very cool study, and an interesting read (though I wish I knew a bit more about 
isotopic analysis).  It is not the first case of bat predation on birds, 
however.  Megadermatids prey on birds when the opportunity arises, and have 
even been photographed feeding on passerines.  However, this is likely less 
ecologically significant than the repeated pattern of feeding on migrating 
passerines that the authors of the linked paper discuss.
