Well, yes and no. There was no such thing as "holotypes" back then, and von
Meyer hadn't actually seen the specimen when he coined the name
_Archaeopteryx lithographica_. Thus, it's not clear if he was referring the
skeleton to _Archaeopteryx_ (based on a feather), or was creating the genus
for its reception.
