Re: And now for something nearly as OT...

Hi,

I am not completely sure (as I don´t have the papers), but I guess that...

Nuevos géneros y especie de ave fósil (Falconiforme:
Accipitridae) del Cuaternario de Cuba. 470-475:9
O. Arredondo y C. Arredondo

...Gigantohierax suarezi ARREDONDO & ARREDONDO 1999 [2002] is meant. The type is a partial left femur (in the paper MNHN 90-31, now MNHNCu P4708) from the Cueva de Paredones near Caimito, La Habana, Cuba.

Nueva especie de ave (Falconiforme: Teratornithidae)
del Pleistoceno de Cuba. 470-475:15.
O. Arredondo y C. Arredondo

...Teratornis olseni ARREDONDO & ARREDONDO 1999 [2002] is meant. The bones are from the Cueva de Paredones and Cueva de Sandoval near Caimito, from the Cueva del Túnel near La Salud and from the Cuevas Blancas near Quivicán, all in La Habana province, Cuba.

Cheers,
Heike
