No modern bird at all. That's the point Jim and I are making.
Although some entomologists have hypothesized that certain modern hexapods
exhibit behaviors that might be analogous to the incipient stages of insect
flight (e.g., gliding lepismatids, surface-skimming stoneflies); and bats
are thought by some researchers to have evolved from dermopteran-like
ancestors (though maybe not the Dermoptera iself); there's no such analogs
for early birds in the modern world.
