Re: Wikipedia

Big paper coming out very soon by Jim Kirkland: "FRUITA PALEONTOLOGICAL AREA (UPPER JURASSIC: MORRISON FORMATION), WESTERN COLORADO: AN EXAMPLE OF TERRESTRIAL TAPHOFACIES ANALYSIS."

I will be in an upcoming NMMNH Bulletin (it might be volume 36, but I could be wrong) on the Morrison Formation edited by John Foster and published before the end of the year.

Is there anything good on Morrison stratigraphy? Has
anyone found the
Kimmeridgian-Tithonian boundary in it, for example?

I can't remember offhand specifically what is included, but John Foster has published a fair few papers on biogeography/biostrat of the Morission, and likely you fill find your answer there. Your best bet is his big NMMNH bulletin special volume (2003):

<from an old post by Andy Heckert>
---
"The Morrison Volume" (NMMNH Bulletin 23)---$15 U.S.

A monograph based on John Foster's dissertation at
the University of Colorado---this is the most detailed
and comprehensive attempt at deciphering the
vertebrate paleoecology of the Morrison Formation ever
undertaken. The appendix alone is worth the price, as
it lists the fauna, depositional environments,
stratigraphic level, and more of ~250 Morrison
Formation quarries. If you work on any aspect of the
Morrison and its fauna, you need this book.

and I don't have this as PDF (!), although I do have a
hardcopy, and it's a good read.
