Richard Muller "Death of Dinos" talk on UCTV
LISTERS --
The Berkeley Lab Lecture Series talk by physicist Dr. Richard Muller,
"The Death of the Dinosaurs: 27 Years Later" airs on UCTV this week.
Dr. Muller, who has an entertaining lecture style, discusses the iridium
layer discovery and correlates impact craters and volcanic events with
62my extinction cycles. The talk is geared to an informed lay audience
(or, perhaps one more versed in physics than paleontology). Of course,
my favorite part was the collection of
asteroid-just-about-to-impact-the-Earth art which the Alvarez team's
discovery 27 years ago has generated.
