One possible example is Edmontosaurus. Edmontosaurus
first appears in the lower portion of the Horseshoe
Canyon Fm., is not found in the upper part of the same
formation (Hypacrosaurus and Saurolophus show up
instead), but reappears in the overlying Scollard Fm.
I'm not aware of any known specimens of Edmontosaurus
which have been collected from sediments that are the
same age as those represented by the upper Horseshoe
Canyon Fm... are there any, DMLers???
