Good News
Yesterday the French-German coproduction broadcaster arte aired a
documentation of what the Karlsruhe people (Frey, Stinnesbeck, Buchy) have
been doing lately in northeastern Mexico (Nuevo León). There's the Monster
of Aramberri, the apparently recently published Cenomanian-Turonian
pterosaur *Muzquizopteryx* from Muzquiz, and Maastrichtian dromaeosaur
tracks from Las Aguilas. The latter are not only deep, probably recording a
lot of movement, but also huge -- they hint at an animal with 3 m hip height
and some 12 m length.
Who said last time surprises don't happen anymore in the fossil record?
