Apparently there aren't enough artists left to create a demand for the
lithographic limestone. :-(
Eh -- wait. _All_ quarries are active. There are lots of uses other than
lithography: roof tiles, floor tiles (with beautiful dendrites), wall
tiles... Sorry, I just tried to say that "digging" is not the right word
because it's not underground. The layers are horizontal. The quarries are
shallow pits in the landscape.
