Apatosaurus was first so it is apatosaurus, why was it actually called like
that, and I never liked ,,Brontosaurus" either
Sometimes, seniority shouldn't get in the way of drama. ;-)
Brontosaurus only sounds lumbering and dull because that's the image the
name was attached to while we were all growing up. Taken only by itself
"Thunder Lizard" is actually quite a dynamic and powerful sounding title.
(if somewhat overstated, given the number of larger sauropods discovered
since).
