*****SPAM***** Indosuchus sp. eytmology, please
Hi everybody,
I have a couple simple etymology and synonymy questions concerning
Indosuchus (I already know all about the material and the works of Walker
[1964] and Chatterjee [1978]).
What I'm curious about is the two (2) species. Firstly, the type species:
*I. raptorius*. I assume raptorius means something like "Raptor-like" (or
as Jordan Mallon's site said, "Thievish.")? Further research said
"Raptorial" but I wanted to double check with you folks. :-)
Second, and lastly, *I. rawesi*. I found little-to-know info on this one,
other then that it is synonymous with *Massospondylus rawesi* but it didn't
say exactly in which direction. Is *I. rawesi* a junior synonym of *M.
rawesi*? And if not, does anyone know who this name honors?
Any help will be appreciated,
Tommy Bradley :-)
