Human development through running, how was the research of H. floresiensis affected by the earthquake and 2004 was the 7th most prolific year in dinosaur discoveries with 17 valid genera described
Good day,
I wonder if anyone have heard about the recent hypothesis of human evolution.
It states that the true physiological process which created human was a run
rather than walk (since Australopithecs were walking long millenias and still
nothing). Man is not a fast sprinter in comparison with other mammals (human
top speed is 43.5 km/h) but quite good long distance runner (an average speed
on 10K WR is over 6.3 m/s. which is, according to author of this study, equal
to a horse performance - seems not likely to me, BTW)...following is table of
adaptations for running in early Hominids etc.
Does anyone know, how was the research of "hobbits" influenced by the recent
disaster? Flores island was not far from it. Thanks in advance and HNY, Vlad
