Re: Discovery Article On Pterosaurs

I would like to correct something missing in Naish and Martill's
otherwise excellent article. " Wellnhofer is almost single-handedly responsible
for
the present surge in interest in pterosaurs", state the authors of the
Biologist article. I essentially agree, but we must remember that the "other
hand"
was Manfred Reichel (who Wellnhofer credits in his "encylopedia"). Wellnhofer
has based much of his work on Reichel's drawings prepared in the years prior to
the second world war. It's a pity his work is not better know. It's exquisite.
I also noticed that Darren got top-billing! I want to know if when
they coauthor, do they each write every other sentence or paragraph? And does
the
one who's writing at the moment get to wear the funny hat? Signed, Curious
