As an aside, the azhdarchid T-shaped 2nd and 3rd phalanges are more
sideways Y-shaped than T-shaped, with the bottom stem of the T angled
somewhat aftward.  This is a mechanism for adding some resistance to
aftward bending as well as upward - while retaining the increased
flexibility in torsion.
