Name that Species!

Hi there everybody!
     I could do with a spot of help on a few utterly confusing specie names.  
If anyone out there would be so good as to offer some insite into the 
translations, pronunciations, and inspirations (why these names were given) of 
the names:

1) salsopaludalis

2) suffossus

3) eumerus

     Any light shed of these three names would be most appreciated.
