I COMPLETELY agree with what George said in this post.  More people should
have his philosophy regarding nomina dubia.
Well, maybe not completely agree.  I think a taxon can be nomen dubium if it
can't be distinguished from a single other taxon, not necessarily two
others.  This does not mean it must be synonymized with that taxon, if the
stratigraphic separation is far enough (subjective of course).
