If it's Maya, the c should be a normal k, and the x is voiced, like a French 
j, according to what I've read long ago. Don't ask me where the stress goes.

It's Nop_cs_a, cs being the Hungarian way to write what's ch in English and 
Spanish. sc would be pronounced shts in Hungarian; that's too many consonants 
in a row AFAIK. :-)

It's P_rz_ewalski. Again a French j, though its origins are more complex. The 
p is of course pronounced, and the w is v.

Aluminum is the US spelling. In German we go through the "trouble" and 
pronounce our Aluminium ah-loo-MEE-nee-um, u like in bush or butcher, though 
shortening this to Alu is common.
